"I am exceptionally proud and privileged to be the Headteacher here at Pinxton Kirkstead Junior School. As a staff, what we want for the children at our school is exactly what we would want for our own children, a school where they feel happy, safe and secure and able to learn but where they also feel challenged to achieve the very best they can.
Our children are a credit to our school. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2015 noted that the atmosphere around school is ‘calm and orderly’ and that ‘the behaviour of pupils is good. They are typically polite, affable and enjoy engaging in conversations on a wide variety of topics’.
I believe in giving children as wide a variety of experiences as possible in order to broaden their horizons, enrich their learning experience and help them develop skills for life. I am very proud of the relationships that the children have with each other and with staff and do truly believe that 'Together we Succeed'.
Our website gives a brief overview of our school, our ethos and aims; however, to really understand the school, it is important to come and visit us.
